38 Upper North Place, Gray's Inn Road was Lear's first London residence which he share with his sister Ann probably from late 1827. In April 1832 Lear moved to 61 Albany St, Regent's Park where he remained until early 1834 (see Charles Nugent, Edward Lear - the Landscape Artist, 2009, Appendix E, p. 233).
