Norland House was originally the main house of a 52 acre estate and was situated near the site of 130 Holland Park Avenue. By the 1760s, the house and 12 acres was separately leased and surrounded by a ha-ha on the west side, and brick walls on the other three sides. The property, along with much of the rest of the estate, was acquired by Benjamin Vulliamy, a watch maker based on Pall Mall, and remained with his family until 1839. The house was destroyed by fire only a few months after the date of this drawing, in 1825.
