This drawing is taken in Albury Park, which belonged to the Finch family until 1782 when Heneage Finch, 4th Earl of Aylesford (1751-1812), a talented amateur artist who Devis would doubtless have known, sold the house. In 1800, the date of the present work, the estate belonged to Samuel Thornton M.P., who made various alterations to the house to the designs of John Soane.){kind=link}
