    This belongs to a group of watercolours of Lake District views by Creswick drawn on the same unusually shaped sheets and executed in July 1847. A watercolour of the Mill at Ambleside dated July 17th 1847 was with Colnaghi in 1973 (see Drawings, Watercolours and Paintings, Nov-Dec. 1973, exhibition catalogue, no.49, pl. XVIII)
